Carrie Field has an undergrad and master’s in social work, familiarity with the Reggio-Emilia program from leading play-based and child-directed therapy, has managed local social work programs including Early Childhood Charter Schools, and is a mom to an active 5-year-old daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling.
Ellen, the mother of two FLP grads, holds an M.Ed. in Special Education (Learning Disabilities). She taught 3rd grade in Arlington Public Schools and is thrilled to be the S.T.E.M. teacher at FLP!
The mother of one adult son, Lisa, a former Arlington County elementary school teacher, decided she enjoyed the “little ones” and came to us. Lisa holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Learning Disabilities and a master’s degree in Education from Marymount University with a concentration in Special Ed.
Lauren is the mom of two FLP grads and a current FLP student. She holds a Ph.D. in psychology and has worked with both adults and children. She is active in Girl Scouts and has been a Parent Representative here at FLP.
Martha is a former FLP teacher who has returned as a Frog teacher this year. We are thrilled to have her back!
Mandy, the mother of a 6 and 4 year old, worked as teacher in NJ and Fairfax County, VA public schools for over 10 years. She is so happy to be working with our fantastic preschool population (Monkey Class) and staff.
“Mr. Juan” has been the custodian at Faith Lutheran Preschool for many years. He keeps our space clean and fresh so we can play and learn in a healthy environment.
The mother of two FLP grads, freelance artist, and an Ohio native, Penny combines her professional expertise in design and commercial art, and her love of photography and multimedia to bring the arts to life at FLP. Our artiste in residence, she designed the FLP logo and continues to create our supporting artwork.
Trish, a mother of two FLP grads and a health administration major from Penn State, has held every possible job here at Faith: mom, Parent Representative, FLP Board member, Before-School Care helper, substitute teacher, 3s teacher, and 4s teacher. Now a 2s teacher – what’s next!?
The mother of four FLP grads, Anna graduated from George Mason University. She enjoys her career in early childhood education as she juggles family and work demands!
Jennifer, the mother of two FLP grads and one current FLP student, graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s in chemistry and a minor in Political Science which lead her to many wonderful years working in intellectual property. She is pursuing a career with our amazing preschool population after years of working at other preschools and parenting one child with disabilities.
Sue Campbell taught Environmental Science in Fairfax before running a home daycare and continues her interest in gardening and the outdoors. Originally from the Tidewater area, she has made her home in Arlington for the past twenty-five years with her DC native husband Steve and two sons Brad and Jared.
Shelby is a proud mother of four, her youngest being a recent FLP grad. She has lived with her family in Arlington for over 8 years. She has worked as a teacher’s aide in public, private and therapeutic day schools for over 10 years in both Fairfax and Arlington Counties.
Jen holds a Masters in Psychology and worked as a case manager for the Dept. of Veteran’s Affairs for 10 years and also as a Personnel Psychologist with the Navy for 3 years. She has 2 children, a daughter in 1stgrade and a son in 4thgrade and is an active room parent and PTA volunteer. She has much experience working in her own children’s classrooms throughout the last 8 years and enjoys being a positive part of children’s growth. She is thrilled to be teaching in the Kangaroo class!
