Age Requirements
A child must be no less than 2 years old or no more than 4 years old on September 30 of the school year. Three and four-year-olds must be potty trained to attend preschool. When in the best interest of the child, an additional year at FLP is a possibility (before Kindergarten). Please note that the additional-year option is determined on a case-by-case basis by the parent, teacher, and director.
Classes
We offer six classes, as defined on the Enrollment Application:
- Two 2-day, 2-year-old class – Monday & Friday, 9:15 – 11:45 a.m.
- Two 3-day, 3-year-old classes – Tuesday – Thursday, 9:15 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. or 9:30-1 pm
- Two 4-day, 4-year-old classes – Tuesday – Friday, 9:15 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. or 9:30-1 pm
Class placement will take into account birthdate and gender.
Enrollment Process
Applications Available: December of the preceding school year
Application Deadline: January of the preceding school year
Lottery: February of the preceding school year
Families will be notified after the lottery.
Priority enrollment will be given to church members, current families, and alumni families, in that order.
A panel made up of Faith Lutheran Preschool Board members will conduct a blind lottery for non-priority (new family) applicants. Those students who are enrolled as a result of the lottery will be notified. The remaining students will be placed on the age-appropriate class waiting list in the order of their lottery selection.
