As life continues to be complex and complicated, we show up here at Faith Lutheran Church to be rooted in God’s love. We hope to be a community that reaches out beyond our roots to stretch our branches wide and share this wild, gracious, never ending love with the world around us.
Whether you have been Lutheran your whole life or you have never been to church before, you have a place here. Join us for worship on a Sunday morning or at another time to experience how deep and wide God’s love is for you and for your neighbor.
Join us for Worship
Join us for worship Sunday’s at 9 AM for Contemporary Worship and 11 AM for Blended Traditional Worship (with livestream). You can find the livestream at flcva.org/live or on Faith’s Facebook Live page. All are welcome!
Our Contemporary Worship service is more informal, with a praise band and more relaxed, relational feel. Jeans and sneakers are just fine attire and children are certainly welcome! Every service includes a children’s message. Holy Communion is offered for all – children can receive a blessing or Holy Communion. This service lasts about 45 minutes.
Blended Traditional Worship is in person and also online. This service includes a blending of traditional liturgy, Holy Communion and a children’s message. Children are welcome and can come to the table for Holy Communion or a blessing. We blend traditional hymns accompanied by the organ and choir with more contemporary music with the piano, and soloists. This service generally lasts about an hour.
Unity Worship Dates
We will have one Unity Worship service at 10 AM on the following Sunday mornings: Dec. 29th, Jan. 19th, Feb. 9th and Feb. 16th.
Advent & Christmas at Faith
Come Lord Jesus, be our guest! As we enter the season of Advent – a time of waiting, reflection and preparing – we invite you to join Faith Lutheran as we prepare for and celebrate Christmas.
In addition to our weekly worship schedule, we will come together with Georgetown Lutheran Church for a special Blue Christmas service Dec. 15th at 4:30 PM, and two Christmas Eve candlelight services at 4:30 PM – with a focus on children and families – and a more traditional service at 7:30 PM. We end the year with a special Unity Worship Lessons and Carols service Sunday, Dec. 29th at 10 AM.

Sanctuary Banners
The banners you see on either side of the organ in the sanctuary are from an art project created at Pastor CJ’s installation in September. It was designed and facilitated by Deacon Michelle Walka of Beloved Art and Practice.
The tree is a visible reminder of our mission statement – “Rooted and Reaching out in Love.” The beautifully painted leaves are our prayers for this faith community, our neighbors, and the world. The birds in the tree’s branches were created by Chica Brunsvold, member of Faith. Each bird is a reminder to us to those who find a home at Faith and also the ‘birds’ in the community that we support.
