Welcome to Faith.

As life continues to be complex and complicated, we show up here at Faith Lutheran Church to be rooted in God’s love. We hope to be a community that reaches out beyond our roots to stretch our branches wide and share this wild, gracious, never ending love with the world around us.

Whether you have been Lutheran your whole life or you have never been to church before, you have a place here. Join us for worship on a Sunday morning or at another time to experience how deep and wide God’s love is for you and for your neighbor.

Join us for Worship

Join us Sunday mornings at 9 AM for Contemporary Worship and 11 AM for Blended Traditional Worship (with livestream). You can find the livestream at flcva.org/live or on Faith’s Facebook Live page. All are welcome!

Our Contemporary Worship service is more informal, with a praise band and more relaxed, relational feel. Jeans and sneakers are just fine attire and children are certainly welcome! Every service includes a children’s message. Holy Communion is offered for all – children can receive a blessing or Holy Communion. This service lasts about 45 minutes.

Blended Traditional Worship is in person and also online. This service includes a blending of traditional liturgy, Holy Communion and a children’s message. Children are welcome and can come to the table for Holy Communion or a blessing. We blend traditional hymns accompanied by the organ and choir with more contemporary music with the piano, and soloists. This service generally lasts about an hour.

Advent and Christmas at Faith

Experience hope this Christmas season at Faith! We invite you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings during this Advent season, as we ask, “How does a weary world rejoice?” Pastor CJ will lead us through the opening chapters of Luke’s Gospel each week as we acknowledge our weariness, find joy in connection, allow ourselves to be amazed, and sing stories of hope.

In addition to Sunday worship this Advent, we will have Blue Christmas Evening Prayer on Thursday, December 14th at 7:30 PM. In the church year, Advent is a season of hope. But in the midst of holiday preparations and celebration, it’s common to struggle with feelings of grief and loss, and yet those who struggle often feel like they are the only ones. This service will provide a time and place of solace during these frenetic days surrounding the celebration of Christmas.

Come celebrate the nativity of our lord on Christmas Eve! We will have two candlelight services Sunday, Dec. 24th at 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM. The early service is more family friendly and streamlined and the later service will be more traditional. Both will include candle lighting, special music and holy communion. We will not have morning worship Sunday, December 24th.

We will meet for Unity Worship on Sunday, December 31st for Christmas lessons and carols with holy communion at 10 AM.
