About: As the Director of Worship and Music, I work collaboratively with the leadership team to select, arrange, and share music with the Faith Lutheran Community. I also direct the Adult Choir and the Children’s Choir, as well as play the piano and organ in worship.

What I Like Most About Working at Faith: Since arriving at Faith as the Interim Music Director (now Director of Worship and Music), I’ve seen a community of people that care about each other, and a place where music is valued and is a meaningful part of Worship.

When I’m Not at Faith, I: teach elementary music, am the Assistant Director and Collaborative Pianist for the Alexandria Choral Society, Music Directing musicals, and work with choirs in Northern Virginia.

About: As the Communications Coordinator I work to inform the congregation about happenings at the church. My kids both attended Faith Lutheran Preschool and are confirmed members of Faith. Before becoming a mom I worked in communications for 10 years in various forms in DC.

What I Like Most About Working at Faith: The congregation, pastor and staff are patient, kind and fun to work with. I’m constantly amazed by how much our church does on a weekly basis.

When I’m Not at Faith, I: spend time with my family and dogs, and enjoy gardening and reading when I have free time.

About: I am the Business Administrator and am responsible for day-to-day operations at Faith. I’m originally from Nebraska and formerly worked for a London-based humanitarian organization and the U.S. Department of State.

What I Like Most About Working at Faith: The fact that what I do supports the church’s mission and ministry in our community and beyond.

When I’m Not at Faith, I: enjoy spending time with my family and friends and enjoying all that the DC Metro area has to offer.

About: I’m the Preschool Director and have enjoyed working with children for the past 10 years. I’m originally from Nebraska and moved to Washington, DC about 12 years ago. I have worked as a social worker in DC schools before coming to FLP.

What I Like Most About Working at Faith: The staff and families here are the best! They are so kind, welcoming, and a joy to work with each day.

When I’m Not at Faith, I: am busy chasing my daughter around. I am also involved at my church as the Family Connect Coordinator for our Nursery. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, trying out new restaurants, and spending time at the pool and beach.
