Mission of the Month: Ciudad Juarez Ministry
Doctora Mendóza-Bruce provides health services and education to vulnerable people in Juarez. She also assists 95 students in all grade levels with school scholarships. Her ministries rely solely on donations and volunteers. More detailed information is available in the summer issue of the Key.

You can give to the mission of the month by using the special mission offering envelopes in the pews, online at www.flcva.org, or by scanning the QR code on the back of this bulletin.

Summer Sunday School Resumes Next Week
Throughout the summer, families with Sunday School-age children are invited to bring children directly to the Fellowship Hall before the 9:30 service. There, we’ll have a variety of fun activities planned. Then children will join their parents in worship during the offering. Learn more.

Faith’s Rejuvenation Process Continues
This past week, work began to update and brighten the Jackson Street entrance with new ceiling, lighting, and paint. We request that people not use this entrance for a few weeks, but the noticeable improvements will be worth it! We’ll continue to see transformation in our fellowship space throughout the summer. Painting of the building’s exterior trim will begin in early July as well, now that new gutters have been installed and repairs have been made to the roof. Be sure to check out the progress each Sunday when you come for worship!

Congregational Picnic
Sunday, July 17, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Join on us as we celebrate the joy of the warm summer months with a church picnic. Filled with activities for the entire family, we look forward to this time each year. With three services on Sunday morning sometimes it’s hard to see just how much Faith is growing. We supply the meat, you supply a side (A-M), dessert (N-Z), or appetizer to pass. This is a great time to not only come together with your church family, but also to meet someone new and get to know those that have started calling Faith Lutheran their second home.

Vacation Bible School – July 11 – 15
The VBS Staff is busy getting ready to catch the wave of God’s amazing love. Please help us “build” our surf shack! If you have any of the following items to donate or loan, we will happily accept:
• Tiki torches
• Hawaiian / beachy décor
• Surf or boogie boards
• Aquatic stuffed animals (fish, crabs, dolphins, etc.)
If you’re able, please contact Mary Q.

Family Movie Night
Saturday, August 13, 7:30 p.m.—Come enjoy a movie under the stars. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy a family-friendly move (TBD) at the Quattlebaums’ house (contact the office for the address). Popcorn and lemonade will be provided. RSVP to Mary.

Garden Update
More work days are planned for Saturdays, June 4, July 2, August 6, September 3 and October 1. This year, we’ll be setting up a “farm market” one Sunday per month, May – August, to sell extra produce at church. Sign up to help!

Lutheran Men in Mission are gathering men from coast-to-coast for a backpacking adventure, Aug. 14-19, in Hillside, Colorado,  in the mountains at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp. It will be a Christ-centered adventure that is challenging both physically and spiritually. More at www.lutheranmeninmission.org
