About: As pastor, I work with the congregation to be a vibrant member of our neighborhood and follower of Jesus. Each day is different- I support our preschool, visit members and community leaders, prepare education opportunities, plan worship for Sundays, pray for our neighbors and the world, study and advocate for justice and peace in the public square. I enjoy Sunday worship and am grateful to be connected to a deep and wide community wrestling with the questions life offers. I am passionate about building community, faith formation for the littlest ones in our midst and creation care. 

What I like most about working at Faith: We have an incredible staff at Faith Lutheran who are committed to our mission and care beyond their job descriptions. I love the community here! We are casual-come as you are. We care deeply about one another and aren’t afraid to be generous, especially when it comes to sharing our building with community partners.

About: Vicar is a fancy word for an intern in a church setting.  This internship is one of the final steps towards ordination as a Deacon.  While at Faith, I will be preaching, teaching, getting to know the internal community of Faith and the external community surrounding Faith.  I am native to Ohio but also called Indiana home.

What I like most about working at Faith: I love meeting people and hearing their stories.  Arlington being so close to DC has such a transient community that learning from lived experiences of others is an on-going activity.  I also like hearing from older generations who have been around Faith for a long time.  I am a self-proclaimed church nerd and I love history so learning about the past at Faith is fun.
